☠️ finally tested my one rep max again today (ie the heaviest weight you can manage for just one rep). •
i was scared and wouldn’t allow @aaahbisto or @aggie_geee to spot me because god forbid they get hurt 🤕, so i asked this pro to help me instead. my g has one a million trillion body building competitions - he is big time 🏆. •
as stated before i only wanted to do one rep, but my guy kept telling me to go. 😭😅 so my one rep max is now 75kg. it was heavy 😫. •
this man is called jake. unfortunately he is not on social media, so won’t see this, but i owe him a lot. he encouraged me at the start of the year when i told him i was really going to try to sort my body out. •
he also gave me the confidence to become a personal trainer!! when i told him i was considering it, i thought he would laugh! but he said, “go for it! you are in shape and you like talking to everyone, so you will be good at it.” 😭🙏🏼 •

set a pretty ambitious (to me) goal of squatting 405lbs with no belt and no knee sleeves by the end of the year.
i hadn’t squatted over 400lb in about a year since last time i prepped for a powerlifting meet i tore my pec and had to shift gears.
today the energy was great @differentbreedstrength and my boys @coachjoshsquyres@lifestylewelive@bgoirigolzarri & @jimmyroc were all there pushing.
hit 385x2 and coach made the play call for 405x1, i’m pretty stoked!
don’t worry i still went to the mecca and did some bodybuilding machine leg work with my dude @jarod.nickerson after and got a sweet pump!
tonight i have an “easy” 3 mile run, that should be interesting.
