"to understand everything, you must forgive everything." sometimes when injustice is committed to you can me it really hard to move on and forgive that other person / people as much as it should be them apologizing. many times we suffer more because we allow the past to eat us alive, we don't forgive ourselves, and / or because sometimes we just simply make it h*****n ourselves. pain will always be there but suffering is our choice. the best peace of mind is forgiving ourselves and eventually forgiving everything ever committed against us, allowing us to move on to better things in life without limits. practice integrity and generosity not only when it comes to others but yourself. #dailymantra#buddhism#enlightenment#positivity#thereispowerinpositivity#medidation#selfless#love#peace#depression#pain#suffering#happiness#tranquility#peaceofmind
When we are feeling frustrated or discouraged, let us stop and remember to fully be present in the moment, in all its beauty, and live it in the love of god. this is what cardinal nguyen van thuan, a prisoner in vietnam under communism for 13 years bore witness to. he spent 9 of those 13 years in solitary confinement, suffering for the faith he had in god, and yet, in his aloneness, he grew deeper in hope and drew closer to god. trust that wherever you are, it is not in vain, as god has a plan and purpose for you, and is present in your journey. “i am happy here, in this cell, where white mushrooms are growing on my sleeping mat, because you are here with me, because you want me to live here with you. i have spoken much in my lifetime: now i speak no more. it's your turn to speak to me, jesus; i am listening to you" - cardinal thuan
#buddhist definition of human #suffering (dukha):
"clinging to that which changes."
helen keller poignantly added, "although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it." #buddhism#buddha
Yoga was created thousands of years ago with the purpose of awakening the human consciousness to it's divine nature. to become conscious of the god within. and in doing so, one is liberated from suffering. avidya (illusion) - we suffer because we don't know who we are.
yoga says we suffer because we don't know who we really are. we spin in our minds and we identify with our *passing* thoughts and emotions. we think we are our bodies and we live in a state if conscious sleep. when we awaken to the god within we rise into our full potential.
the physical practice of yoga was created to help the body sit still to meditate. when we meditate we merge with that which we call god. we become one with all of life. therefore our compassion and understanding gets stronger. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
you are boundless limitless energy in the form of a human being. when we awaken to the truth of who and what we are, we are freed from internal suffering. we still feel pain but once we wake up from our conscious sleep we never actually suffer again. this cured my depression years ago and i am incredibly honored and blessed to teach this ancient practice. 🌿
