Last day in tokyo. as always i gotta give it up to my girls for taking care of me when i'm out here. it's nice to know i have family in foreign lands. aishiteru @ripple.tokyo! . can't wait to be back in manila in march. i'll be back in paradise tomorrow and will be in full grind mode til that next flight. catch flights not feelings 🌐. . i'm not fortunate enough to fly for free or at discounted rates so i been having to bust a*s for flight tickets...i remember telling my bro @_pudgesta a few months back "just wait bro i'm gonna be a frequent flyer just like you some day". those days are here and life has never been better. i'll continue to keep calling out my truths. people are too scared to speak their goals into existence because they're scared to fail. i call my goals out publicly no matter who thinks i'm good for it or not because my strategy is to pressure myself to execute on my goals or to just not execute on my word at all and embarrass myself. i'm actually willing to embarrass myself for the sake of trying to learn something new and put myself in a better position in life. i have zero fear of losing rather i embrace that shit. every loss has a lesson, and i been telling people that you only lose if you don't learn. so when you learn those losses become wins, and you'll be well on your way towards a better future. i'm optimistic ~

Meetings in shinjuku ~ i remember when getting clothes made in japan was just a dream, and just two months ago we checked that off the list. i'm the kind of person to finish a project, and wake up the next day completely over it and that's because months before every project ends we've already starting working on the next step. your follow up to anything is key. . now that we know we can produce apparel out here how else could we expand? by tapping into the community of course; so some friends and i are scheming on some potential pop-up events out here in tokyo, and in la. it's funny though because here we are in a room discussing big plays yet we still can't speak the same language. we have someone in the room interpreting the conversation the whole time, and we're still able to share a few good laughs on some topics. it's just weird how all of this is working out. there is no language barrier; the thirst for a better life has already put us all on similar frequencies and finding ways to communicate is just a part of the equation. . the only limits you have are those you place in your own mind. i'm never going to let coming from a dot on the map hold me back ever again because i remember when it did. i remember being insecure about guam because i felt like i had nothing more to be proud of other than sandy beaches and pink sunsets. i realized my job on this earth is not to preserve the old culture but to set us forth towards the next best thing for our people without stepping on the toes of our elders. by working with one another to introduce new concepts for the next generation of guamanians to find strength in. i feel like we're in some transitional period and it's going to take some outside thinkers and bold risk takers to set us on paths towards the next best thing. guam is only getting started. a new guam where rich history around the culture of family, and respect have been carried on and further translated through the modern day arts the world openly wants to associate with. it's through this door i believe guam will find new prosperity in a new and fast changing world. it's up to us. if not us then who?

Fortune favors the bold ~ we are not the same - (2016 - sold out). . everything i design represents an idea or moment i want to share with the world. i produced this we are not the same concept in 2016 during the moment in my life where i felt like i finally started to accept myself completely. loving yourself is so much easier said than done - and it’s more than just putting yourself in a better position in this world. it’s the daily mental battle to do the things we don’t want to do to become the person we want to be that matters the most. we are not the same is for those who have embraced their uniqueness in this world and are willing to wear that pride on their back. i’m definitely going to be bringing this phrase back in 2018, and will be applying the words on some new mediums. i originally thought having these words on a bright orange tee would be fitting. it’s not about getting attention it’s just about showing true genuine pride in who we are, and where we come from. . i woke up in paradise today, and have a lot to be grateful for. i’m extremely proud to be from guam. despite growing up insecure and feeling non-existent in this world the fact that i come from a dot on the map has now become my biggest advantage, and form of inspiration behind all that i do. . how proud are you? comment "πŸ†" below if you’re reading this, and proud to be different today 😊 . . . πŸ“Έ: @bravojacy

Read. . . jab, jab, jab, right hook by @garyvee. . . i highly recommend this book to all current and aspiring artists and entrepreneurs looking for solid insights on how to best communicate your truth and story on social media. as someone really into analytics and brand building figuring out how to translate all the data i collect has always been a challenge. this book not only gives you strategies, but is also packed full of visual examples that prove the best pieces of content are multi-faceted, and that theres a certain “native language” required to effectively communicate on all the different social media platforms. get yours, and have fun! definitely not a dull read as gary keeps it 1000% raw and real with some humor on top. i also pre-ordered his new book #crushingit just last night too. i'm just tryna get ahead ~. . thanks to the brodie @charlesterbio for passing this book onto me. knowledge is the best gift!

Food for thought 🍲. ( swipe right ---> for more 🎞 ) . this is what happens when " hey, your food matches your fit let's take a pic. " actually works out. i was just at @clansguam dropping off new @thenativeworldwide stickers that drop in-store tomorrow *wink * wink* and there's @torinoriii eating her cup noodle lol. knowing her she most likely planned this, and i was just cool enough to know that she would hope someone would offer to take a pic. i got you always tor πŸ€œπŸ»πŸ€›πŸ». we have actual legitimate shoots planned too lol, stick with us ~ when i first walked in i couldn't help but comment on tor's bucket hat too. turns out @painkillers did a good job on this one. i always thought the hardest thing about getting bucket hats made was finding a manufacturer that was willing to offer you custom sizing at a low order quantity. most bucket hats i come across fit too long at the top, this one fit perfectly ~ @farmersmarkethawaii

Short story for everyone who’s asked me what their first product should be. it’s 2011, and i’m a 17 year old junior at jfk. just your typical broke high school kid, but i had a few ideas. i had just launched my “brand” @thenativeworldwide on tumblr and this is around the time everyone was just starting to get on facebook. i took heat for starting a brand “on the internet”, and was told what i was doing wasn’t legit because i didn’t own my own store nor was i carried in any. it took awhile, but after i got over that i decided my first product should be stickers. . i remember it being around october because the wrestling season back home had just started and i remember being p****d that i had to miss a few matches. i was in texas at the time with family, and i only had like $70 to my name lol. i went online and found a print shop in the area that said they did custom “die-cut decals” whatever that is right? did some research online and found out that hey these are good for cars, and laptops…the adhesive on them was meant to stay durable in the sun as well. fast forward “hey i’ll take 50 stickers” and i paid $1.00 ea for all 50…thats 50 stickers for 50 dollars for those who are as bad in math as i am lol. . i get back to guam a week later, make a facebook page for my brand and post a picture. to my surprise people go crazy…we sell out in “pre-orders” in 3-days and i get all my close friends in all the local public and private schools to help me distribute my orders lol. i always low-key felt like some sort of drug dealer who specifically sold clothes out of my trunk lol. it was cool, no one else was doing it. . i’ll never ever ever forget how i felt sitting at the edge of my bed with $150 i had just made because i sold all the stickers i had for $3.00 each. like woah, we just made some money off an idea. this is weird…is this even legal? i’m too young for this crap…but people kept asking for more, and now we’re here today 7 years later :) i realized that stickers were the perfect first product. low cost, perfect for branding assuming most would put them on their laptops, cars or both. i encourage anyone looking to start their own brand to start with stickers ~

Pull the trigga aint nobody gonna do it for you ~ . (( swipe ----> )) . quick #tbt to last september when i produced my very first large scale concert and brought @russ to guam. truly this was one big learning experience despite making history on guam and selling out the island's biggest indoor venue in just 8 days there we're a lot of lessons that went down behind the scenes leading up to all these wins that i'll keep closest with me forever. i just don't want people to think i ever had any of my successes come easily. this show was 19 months in the making, lots of sacrifices and just perfect timing if you ask me. before we signed this deal we got rejected by over 15 other artists yet when we finally had a chance to work with someone it ended up being the best option possible. there's a lesson to be learned here. . isn't it funny how life works? we b***h and complain about all the things we want but never get? only to be blessed with instances that actually do more for us? that's gods plan if you ask me. my first concert production taught me so much about patience. i had to remain positive and consistent no matter how many times deals fell through just to strike gold and do it big over one weekend. this project taught me that " you'll always hit big as long as you stay consistent in adapting to learn and as long as you don't give up ". . still, there's times when the lesson is in letting go rather than holding on. in those moments i believe it's up to us to sense those emotions, and go with our gut feeling. my gut feeling has saved me so much pain and regret lol. it's weird yet i never question it anymore. as long as i have a concrete idea on where i wanted to end up everything that happens in between the moment of conceiving an idea and making it a reality is up to god, and i'll be ready to adapt. . thank you so much to everyone who attended my first concert ever. standing in the crowd for my own sold out show was an experience i'll never forget. still, i'm never the type to dwell on past achievements and losses. i've already been moving forward quickly on securing my next show. . comment below which artists you'd love to see on guam next? go! πŸ‘‡πŸΌπŸ‘‡πŸΌπŸ‘‡πŸΌ

Thank you! . for supporting our first collection ever produced in a foreign land (tokyo, japan). as of today this particular collection will no longer be for sale to the public, discontinued forever and never to be reproduced again. . as we continue to put guam on the map in a unique way we're certain everything we do will only grow in value overtime. we want to produce only what we deem to be "the best" to ensure that you guys always get the most original, limited, quality and exclusive garments and experiences. . we thank you for believing in what we do, and for being so down to support us financially. we promise to never take these blessings for granted, and we promise that only great things will come from this brand from here on out. next collection is already in the works alongside a few very special artist collaborations we have lined up for 2018. more creative events for guam based creatives to shine off of and more concerts featuring all your favorite big name artists. we want to remain multi-faceted in a world where everyone expects us to only focus on one thing. we want to be different, and we're okay with people not understanding what we do. as we continue to grow someday you will, and even then you'll always be welcome in our family of dreamers and go-getters. . this is a brand for artists and entrepreneurs across the globe. tap in, let's work together! our dms are open to the public always. thanks again everybody!!!!! couldn't do this without y'all ~

I love and appreciate ((you)) . as of today my recent collection will no longer be available for sale to the public; consider this made in tokyo collection discontinued forever and never to be reproduced again, but follow @thenativeworldwide for updates on all that we're doing next. . it really means a lot to know that people saw the value in what we've done with this line. this was my first time producing a collection in a foreign land (tokyo, japan) and this collection will always have a special place in my heart along with everyone who copped and supported. one day we're all going to look back at this collection and smile knowing we've come so far together. just me and those who support me. i'm either going to make it big globally or die trying so i want people to comfortably place their bets on me knowing that everything with my name on it will be worth so much more in the future. i'm after legacy and that means making history in all that i do as often as i can. from the things we accomplish together to the people we help along the way it's all about making our world, and our island a better place. i believe that my clothing is the perfect accessory to any dreamer and go-getter out there and i won't stop til we're the worlds greatest at what we do. this brand is a platform for artists and entrepreneurs and i'm excited to connect with as many like minded people around the world as much as i can. . just want to thank everyone reading this for all the financial support and words of support. both contributions mean the world to me and i can't express enough how much i love, respect and appreciate all of you. i'm so blessed to know exactly what i want at my age. it's my life's ambition to never let these blessings go to waste, and to leverage my experiences to help guam progress in this world. my dream is to bridge the creative gap between guam and the world. the future looks bright for all guamanians around the world. i love my home, my paradise so much and i'm doing this for myself, my family, my friends and for the future generations after me to prosper off of forever. . legacy > currency ( always )
