Last night, while in my car (making unfortunately, a second run to the grocery store) i had my @kloveradio on and the dj read a verse from the good book, james 1:3 and it struck a chord with me. so i needed to look it up. i really liked james 1: 2-4, at the moment i needed to see and read this for my soul. i wanted to share this just in case any of my friends or family members are going through any kind of struggle(s) right now. y'all, no matter what the situation is you're going through, god is in control and he is with us by our side and in our hearts through our journey. we might not be able to see or understand why it's happening, but we must have faith that whatever happens, whatever the outcome, it is god's will. #klove#kloveradio#carrides#thewordofgod#godisgood#everyonehasstruggles#nebraskagirl#lincolnnebraska#versesfromthebible
Today on the blog i am talking about how the old testament points to jesus (link in bio). the seemingly long list of genealogies, strange laws, occasional talking, burning bush. to be honest without my study bible, i would be lost to what is actually throughout the bible.
christ is the goal of everything in the old testament. the bible is one story, created by one god, and culminates in one person, jesus christ.
for the first time in my life, it has become clear how jesus relates to the old testament. each piece of the bible was carefully crafted by god to testify of jesus christ. the old testament prepares the way and points to jesus christ while the new testament reveals and explains who he is.
Planning, organizing and goal setting is great. however, the power of declaring god’s word over your work invites his anointing and favor into your work. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> “you will also decide and decree a thing, and it will be established for you; and the light [of god’s favor] will shine upon your ways.”
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> “for the word of god is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.”
