Today is a day of rest/work! so it’s got me thinking about what i’d like to achieve in the not so distant future. because you’ve got to have things to aim for right?! 🙌🏻 been stuck on 8 maximum for chin ups, this needs to be at a consistent 10 ✔️ pull ups 👀 i’d like them to be at a steady 6-7 👌🏼 once my back is able i’m getting that 3 x body weight yoke carry. gutted i was 5kg away from it before i injured myself. oh well, that’s how it goes 🙌🏻 2 x body weight deadlift, with good form! need to work on the hips rising too quick. which i will 👌🏻 100 push ups for time and 50 parallel dips for time. knock some time of the previous 💁🏼♀️ that’ll do. might all change. who knows. i’m happy to go with the flow and see what gets my attention 🍕
We had some left over brown rice from dinner the other night so i made it into this delicious broccoli and bacon salad with a sesame dressing - divine!
to the brown rice, i added some blanched broccoli (broccoli soaked in boiling water for a couple of minutes, drained and then cooled in cold water), 3 pieces of chopped up cooked bacon, a handful of halved cherry tomatoes, a chopped avocado, 2 hard boiled eggs chopped up, a large handful of rocket leaves and a some chopped dry roasted almonds.
the dressing was actually one my sister had in her fridge but a simple drizzle of lemon juice or balsamic vinegar would be divine, your use your own favourite one.
it's a great one to take to work, or if you're taking the kids out for a day trip and need to take a salad with you.
