What is so special about jojoba oil? ✨ it’s actually the closest oil you can get to the oil your skin naturally produces!
jojoba is one of the rare plants to produce wax esters, meaning it closely mimics human sebum and is perfect for congested skin and calming down oil production.
rich in omega 6 & 9, vitamin a, d & e and antiviral properties, it was highly valued by the native americans to restore the skin.

Did you know studies show that eczema worsens in many people due to dairy! it doesn’t always mean that you are allergic to it, but that your skin may be sensitive to it. dairy also contains growth hormones that are contributing factors to eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and acne. alternatives? almond milk, coconut milk, oat milk or even hempseed milk 🥛

Facial massage = deep relaxation 💆🏻♀️ who wishes it was them on the bed? 🙋🏻♀️
Each month, by placing a monthly essential rewards order with young living, you can earn points back that you can then redeem for free stuff. usualllyyyyyy, those points burn a hole right through my pocket. but i decided to save for something a little more luxe this time! everything pictured was free to me. i’m soo excited about each of these items and let me tell you why:
christmas spirit essential oil blend - this stuff is simple, but pure magic. it is the perfect blend of orange, black spruce, and cinnamon that creates a warm, spicy, sweet aroma when you diffuse it, making you feel all nice and cozy inside and outside. it’s a soul-warming blend that’s basically like a winter candle in an essential oil bottle. it’s amazing and perfect for this time of year, and super affordable at just around $10 wholesale.
thieves dentarome ultra toothpaste - did you know that young living has not one but 3 essential oil infused natural, non-toxic toothpastes? yep, they do. and this month, i’m going to give this one a whirl. infused with thieves essential oil, along with peppermint, thyme, and wintergreen, for a fresh, wintergreen taste.
art intensive moisturizer - this gem of a moisturizer is brand new to me and the baby that i was saving up my points for. she’s a luxurious, rich cream that’s not overly heavy, and is made completely from naturally derived ingredients. she’s formulated with pracaxi seed oil and blue bird hibiscus leaf extract to help even skin tone and promote hydration - which i need as we move from summer to fall and winter. it absorbs quickly leaving your skin feeling soft and radiant. i love.
all three of these were free to me this month thanks to my essential rewards points!! what’s the last thing you saved your essential rewards points for? or what are you saving them for now?
🍃 my skin never lies - too much refined sugar, a few too many red wines, not enough rest and the first place to show (besides the waist line!) is my skin. 😞
after a 7 day work week, some bad dietary choices made on the run, and a late night out, i’m reaching for the beautiful rhassoul clay today. we ship batches of this stunning skin detoxifier in directly from morocco. i’d tried rhassoul before, but when our partners in morocco announced they now offer it and would i want to test theirs, i jumped at the chance, because everything they’d ever introduced before was superior quality. the difference in quality to what i’d known rhassoul to be previously absolutely blew me away!💥
no longer do i have to beg an aesthetician to squeeze me in when my skin reacts to stress (i’d pay in excess of $150 for a deep cleansing facial to clear the congestion previously)!
rhassoul is exceptionally high in silica and magnesium, making it especially good for skin. in fact, at times like this, i will use this clay daily instead of cleanser, mixing a very running paste and washing my skin with it for a gentle way to cleanse that won't s***p skin of beneficial oils. the rhassoul we offer is one of the most affordable products in our line, but that does not mean it isn’t super effective! try a jar with your next face oil order - chances are you’ll be amazed at the value! 📷 @marinaridgway
Did you know that the us has banned only 30 ingredients from being used in beauty products? for comparison, europe has banned 1400! there are many harmful ingredients in our makeup , hair products, and skin care, so we have to be aware of what we are putting on our skin and the potential effects it can cause. i don’t say this to frighten anyone, but to inform so we can make better choices. we deserve better! our kids deserve better!
beautycounter had a never list of 1500 ingredients that they prohibit the use of in their products. they are paving the way for better beauty! as someone who wants to live a clean lifestyle and see others do the same, i am so proud to stand with this company! to help provide you with the information here are some very common ingredients that can be harmful: ▪️parabens: endocrine (or hormone) disrupters. ▪️phthalates: disrupt endocrine system and may cause birth defects ▪️polyethylene glycol (peg compounds: may be contaminated with measurable amounts of ethylene oxide and 1,4-dioxane, which are both carcinogens ▪️retinyl palmitate and retinol (vitamin a): a nutrient that may damage dna and speed the growth of skin tumors when used topically. ▪️sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium laureth sulfate (sls and sles): surfactants that can cause skin irritation or trigger allergies. sles is often contaminated with 1,4-dioxane, a byproduct of a petrochemical process called ethoxylation, which is used to process other chemicals in order to make them less harsh. ▪️synthetic flavor or fragrance: an engineered scent or flavoring agent that may contain any combination of 3,000-plus stock chemical ingredients, including hormone disruptors and allergens. fragrance formulas are protected under federal law’s classification of trade secrets and therefore can remain undisclosed.
we can make a change. we can make a difference. by supporting companies like beautycounter who advocate for stronger legislation, we are voting with where we put our money. if you have more questions or want more information just reach out to me. i love to help you guys! 💕
Fatco customer, marci's beauty secret? all-natural, organic beef tallow moisturizer. "i am an admitted chapstick junky... this stuff heals literally everything. love, love, love it!! i buy them in bunches at a time because i end up giving them away!"
Over a year ago @devanddaws made this amazing serum to combat dry skin. now, the season is once again upon us and it is seriously rescuing my face!
why the post? saturday night i was watching long time running on @ctv , bawling my eyes out and relishing in what an amazing person gord downie was. remembering my younger years and being thankful in that way only a canadian could that the tragically hip was a part of my youth. enter this long winded post. i thought it was a great time to remind you all that on top of the fact this serum works miracles on your skin, i also donate 10% of it's sales to the @downiewenjack fund. to date we have officially sold 100 bottles, and although the amount isn't huge it's a donation that i'm proud to make in gord's honor.
I like my face soap like i like my dessert.
seriously, this bar soap smells divine. i could technically eat it but it probably won't taste like a brownie.
great for those with oily or combo skin to get that nice clean skin.
So we have been getting a bunch of requests for larger body wash bottles...what do y’all think? currently we sale an 8 ounce bottle which has been one of our best sellers! should we offer bigger bottles??? should we add any more scents besides our current (mango grapefruit)??? 🤔🤔🤔
Herb of the month - aloe barbadenis 🌿 the gorgeous and gracious aloe vera is widely known for its external healing properties and depended upon for sunburn relief due to its’ antioxidant activity (fisher,2009). however, did you know that its’ resin (aloin) can also be ingested for a laxative effect providing assistance in constipation?!(fisher, 2009; bone, 2007)
we use aloe vera as a base in both our ‘keep me clean’ soap bar and ‘pinnacles’ shampoo bar to provide anti-inflammatory and emollient properties. slap some on your skin today! 🌿
I don't know about you, but for me when it is wet like this i just want to curl up and read a good book. your body is producing less serotonin on rainy days, and produces more melatonin, which is responsible for regulating our wake/sleep cycle. so, don't fight the urge to rest, give your body some time to recuperate and relax and use this perfume blend, or make it up as a lovely diffuser blend.
🌿🌿whenever your hands are feeling or looking unmoisturized or marred by harsh weather, add a couple drops of frankincense oil to the moisturizer of your choice to help hydrate and rejuvenate the skin🌿🌿
1. 🍁🍁🍁🍁simply place a drop of oil on your nail and rub it around the cuticles and edges of your fingernails. 🍁🍁🍁🍁this will leave your nails looking healthy and strong even in the driest locations.
2. 👉add frankincense to your daily facial cleanser to help revitalize and beautify the skin.
3. 👉apply frankincense and fractionated coconut oil to freshly-shaven skin to reduce any possible irritation caused by razor bumps on your face or your legs.
4. 👉add frankincense to lotion and apply to your hands and feet after a long day of physical activity for a warming and soothing effect.#doterraessentialoils#frankincense#skincareroutine#moisturizer #healthyskin#toxinfreeliving#toxinfreeskincare
