primary muscles used - recruiting more from the glutes 🍑& slightly less on hamstrings. - upper back, traps & laterals
- lats and middle back.
the difference between sumo &conventional is taking a slightly wider stance, opening up the hips and pushing the hips back in a slightly more squat like position.
and focusing on driving through the heels squeezing the glutes at the top. ---------------------------ive recently transitioned from conventional deadlifts to sumo's. both are a great exercise &amazing for hypertrophy and strength but with slight differences, but if you're not already deadlifting make sure you start now!
