Hello! my name is alicia (@alicia_ww ) & i’ve lost 46 lbs* on weight watchers. today, i’m so excited to give you a look into my #wwfreestyle journey. [*people following the weight watchers program can expect to lose 1-2 lbs/per week. alicia lost weight on a prior program and ww freestyle.]
a little about me: i am a wife & mom of two beautiful girls (20 years and 15 years old.) 👯 i am an investigator at loyola marymount university. i also have the honor and pleasure of being a #wwleader!
i joined weight watchers 15 years ago after seeing a picture of myself on a police officer recruitment poster. at the time i had just given birth to my youngest daughter 6 months prior and although i had lost some of the pregnancy weight, i wanted to get the rest of the weight off. a friend suggested that we join weight watchers together & i jumped at the idea. the program changed my life and mindset. i immediately started making healthier choices and it started to work! this new way of eating and living changed my life and my families lives. my daughters instinctively make healthier choices because there were healthier choices in the house. we are active as a family, and because of ww i am an active part of my daughters lives.

Splits for the lovely @weights.and.wings who tagged me to do a splits picture. ❤️ i’m tagging a few friends to post their favorite splits variation 🙏🏻 the crazy thing is that i was never able to do splits as a kid. i wasn’t a gymnast or a dancer, i had little to no natural flexibility. if you’re new to fitness and yoga and you have that voice in your head that says you could never do “______,” shut that voice down and get started! don’t wait. practice makes progress. a little bit each day will lead to leaps and bounds of progress over time. what is it that you’re working towards? .
