N e v e r/ thought i'd miss people.
since covid, and all the social distancing going on... i actually find myself missing human interaction. not sure how it is for everyone else, but texas recently mandated everyone wear masks (otherwise very fined) - and, i miss seeing people smile. 😶
i miss my weekends. i miss going out for brunch and bottomless mimosas. i miss going to farmer's markets to hand pick local produce and sampling homemade jams & goodies.
speaking of, #queenvictoriamarket in melbourne is the best farmer's market iɴ ᴛʜᴇ ᴡᴏʀʟᴅ (ɪᴍᴏ) and right in the middle of the city! must visit. 10/10 recommend. if you go, please get your hands on some queen ann cherries... because a) the name, ᴅᴜʜ and 2) biggest, juiciest cherries you'll ever consume. #yourewelcome °°°
𝔽𝕦𝕟 𝕗𝕒𝕔𝕥: i single handedly crushed 🖐️ lbs of cherries on this day.

A moment in time ✨ this was the moment when i 1) tried my first aperol spritz, and 2) realized that beach clubs are my preferred type of chill 🥂
today's destination on my list of travel favs is athens, greece 🇬🇷 so many travelers choose mykonos and santorini, but don't sleep on athens! i wrote 4 blog posts about my time in athens - start by discovering this awesome beach club, and save the details for when you make your way to athens! link in bio 😉 @aperolspritzofficial

Many people say that samarkand remind them of arab fairy tales, but did you know that it actually id mentioned in many of the stories of the thousand and one night?
brother of shehrezedeh’s husband, zaman is a sultan of samarkand. besides, many of stories sheherezada tells are set in samarkand.
the fame is well deserved. the city is gorgeous and impressive. it is a unesco world heritage site.
you will most probably come to samarkand by train or by car. the fast train from tashkent takes about 2 hours, while from bukhara, somewhat less, about 1.5 hours. if you are travelling by train, the station is not close to the city center, so you will have to either take a bus (#3 or 73) or find a taxi. you will find detailed information on transport in samarkand on my blog.
if you are able to, find accommodation near the central areas. even knowing russian, i was unable to find any relevant buses and haggling with taxis can be annoying, so reduce the need for transport. although the main sites are quite spread out, if you like walking and follow the right itinerary, you can manage to explore them on foot. we stayed at muzaffar hotel near registan and can recommend it.
there is no scientific evidence showing, when exactly was samarkand founded. some theories suggest that it dates back to as early as 8-7th centuries bc. the town of afrasiyab was located here. it was then under persian achaemenid dynasty, followed by alexander the great, persian sassanid dysnaty, turks, mongols, etc. the greatest time in the samarkand history has been the amir timur era.
you may know him as amir timur, tamerlane, timur lang or timur the lame, depending which country you are from. i will post more about him in the comments.
I have never been a foodie. not at all a foodporn/foodgasm kind of a guy 😃. but scrolling through my gallery, i found this somehow aesthetically very appealing. so.... 🍔🍟🍕🌮🥦❤
eat a lot, y'all. stay fit. stay safe! 🙂✌🏼

the great blue hole is a giant marine sinkhole off the coast of belize. it lies near the center of lighthouse reef, a small atoll 70 km from the mainland and #belize city. the hole is circular in shape, 318 m across and 124 m deep. it’s the world’s largest natural formation of its kind, the great blue hole is part of the larger barrier reef reserve system, a world heritage site of the united nations educational, scientific and cultural organization (unesco).
the great blue hole is a world-class destination for recreational #scuba#divers attracted by the opportunity to dive in crystal-clear waters and see myriad species of marine life including tropical fish and spectacular coral formations.
the marine life in these areas includes nurse sharks, giant groupers, and several types of reef sharks such as the caribbean reef shark and the blacktip shark (carcharhinus limbatus). dive #excursions to the #greatbluehole are full-day trips, that usually consist of one dive in the blue hole and two additional dives in nearby reefs.
from belize city, the #lighthousereef is located 70 km away and you can also rent a boat to take you there. from placencia in southern belize, it will take up to 4 hours to get there.
“welcome to fabolous las vegas nevada” the most famous welcome sign all over the world and why is that? it is because las vegas is known for its clubs, bars, liquors and casinos! that is the reason why it is called the “sin city” might also be the perfect place for people who are night owls because you could party all night at this place! like what other people have said “what happens in vegas, stays in vegas”
make sure to explore las vegas when you visit nevada because it would be an epic journey!
there is something magical on san francisco’s streets. one of the most visited cities in the us, the city by the bay has 242 years of history packed into its 49 square miles. from the gold rush to the summer of love and on through the tech boom punctuated with earthquakes and fires in between, it is a city that consistently reinvents itself, but nonetheless remains true to that which makes it one of the world’s most dynamic metropolis.
