‼️pr alerttttt πŸ™‡πŸ»‍β™€οΈπŸ””β€ΌοΈ today was the day i was able to finally test out my bench max. bench started as my worst lift to my strongest, and i am so proud of the outcome. 😭 although i’m beyond happy with the weight, i’m hoping that once i get on the platform and hear the screaming support of my friends & family that i’ll be able to hit a tad higher. 😀πŸ’ͺ🏼

This is how i am warming up my shoulders/lats these days, hitting the shoulders and lays from different angles for a few sets of 30. i find this saves time and helps me hit deeper ranges of motion each time i go though the cycle of leaning over to arching back. #dontspendalldaywarmingup -

Yesterday i ended my collegiate lifting career on a high note with the best meet of my life. i went 9/9 for the first time ever, added 15kg to my meet total, ended with 385kg lifted @55kg bodyweight, increased my wilks score by 17 points to 453 and ended with first place in the 57kg class πŸ₯‡

prepping/peaking for two meets back to back has been wild and now my body is seriously paying for it so i’m looking forward to taking a few weeks off to rest up and heal. i have so many people to thank for this, but mostly just want to say thank you to everyone who has been kind and supportive to me during these last few weeks. seriously, the support and love i have felt in this sport is unparalleled.
i couldn’t have gotten here without my coach @joeyflexx7 & mawm @tina_tornado, friends and teammates @rutgerspowerlifting and ma boo for being there every step of the way @big_ghee1 ❀️ as well as all my friends!! luh you all. more meet stuff to come!!

i currently have workouts split in 5 days; upper body, lower body, push, pull, legs
the first two are super high volume, minimal rest between sets, and a focus on the pump
the last three are my strength and movement focused days.
so far so good on all accounts.
additionally, i’m tracking week to week to see where i’m either lacking or over shooting.
definitely looking forward to seeing where i’ll be at the end of a few weeks of this split.

277.5kg/612 and 290kg/639 followed by the 297.5/656 that got away. bw 74.85kg 165lbs. i’ve done 300kg/661 a few times before but this is also the first time my forearms cramped up and the lift was executed with a narrower stance than usual to compensate for the slippery platform. you take the good with the bad.
