Hasselback apple puffs from @wearesovegan ๐Ÿ’› recipe makes 4 puffs: --------------ingredients--------------- 2 apples 3 tbsp coconut oil 2 tbsp sugar 1 tsp ground cinnamon 1 tbsp oats 2 tbsp walnuts (roughly chopped) 300 g puff pastry 1 tbsp plant-based milk for serving maple syrup vegan ice cream --------------method--------------- 1. preheat the oven to 200°c and line a baking tray with parchment paper. 2. de-core and peel the apples, then slice them in half. place the apple halves flat-side down and slice into the outer edges roughly 3/4 of the way down. repeat in half cm intervals, making sure you avoid slicing too far down because you don’t want the apple halves to split. 3. place a small saucepan on a medium heat and melt the coconut oil with the sugar and cinnamon. 4. brush the apples with the coconut oil mixture and place the halves on a baking tray. cover with foil or parchment paper and bake for 20 minutes. 5. meanwhile, add the oats and walnuts to the remaining coconut oil mixture and stir to combine. then roll out the pastry on a flat baking tray to roughly 35cm to 22cm, and leave to one side. 6. remove the apples from the oven and discard the foil or parchment paper. make sure you leave the oven switched on. 7. using a fork to gently open up the slices, spoon a little of the coconut mixture between each slice. 8. transfer each apple half to the middle of each quarter of pastry. then cut the pastry into quarters to make 4 hasselback apple puffs. 9. brush the pastry with a plant-based milk and bake in the oven for 15 minutes. 10. serve with a scoop of vegan ice cream, a drizzle of maple syrup and a sprinkling of walnuts. ------------------------------ #veganvideos #vegandessert

Hi friends, happy thursday ๐Ÿ’œ we are heading out to the faroe islands & iceland for two weeks today and we are super excited! we are going to take a break from posting while we are there, because we really want to enjoy our trip and be in the moment. although we love creating vegan content and we love the way our page looks with themes and colour blocking, the process is becoming repetitive and a bit restricting... so we are feeling a bit uninspired. when we started sugared coconut last march, we thought of it as a fun thing to do on the side, and lately it has not been very fun for us. we are so thankful for everyone who has supported us on this journey & we are grateful for almost 18,000 of you who follow our page ๐Ÿ’œ we really want to take this time to figure out the type of content we want to create and the things we want to do with our page. because ultimately, you should love the things you do. and we want to inspire, but also feel inspired everyday. you can follow our trip on our stories & we will see you when we get back ๐Ÿ’œ ps. these toasts are covered in tahini and coconut yogurt spread... we coloured them with black goji @unicornsuperfoods, pitaya @rawnice & blue spirulina @rawnice โ˜บ๏ธ

๐Ÿถhomemade almond milk video! ๐Ÿ˜ super fresh almond milk for literally less than $1. follow video for instructions, or see below. (please dm for ๐Ÿ“ธ credits) . directions: โƒsoak 1 cup of almonds in hot water for 2 hours (or cold water for 8+ hours) โƒdrain and add to your blender. add water (i added enough to fill most of my blender) โƒadd dates (i used 2) and a pinch of salt โƒblend for at least 2 minutes until it’s super fine. โƒstrain the almond milk with a cheese cloth (i didn’t have one so i used a fine mesh, though it was a little more difficult!) โƒpour it in a bottle and store in the fridge up to a week! โƒ(optional) you can keep the almond “pulp” and use it in desserts / baked goods. haven’t figured out what to do with mine yet! โž–โž–โž–โž–โž–โž–โž–โž–โž–โž–โž–โž– #veganstyle #veganmeal #veganmeals #veganbaking #vegancooking #veganblogger #vegetarians #vegetarianlife #vegetarianfoodshare #veganmom #veganuk #veganshare #vegansnack #vegandiet #veganchef #veganfriendly #veganbaking #veganrecipe #veganfamily #veganfoodlover #veganforlife #happyvegan #nomeat #saveanimals #plantbasedfood #plantbasedlife #plantbasedvegan

Looking for a meal to make for your busy weekend? try this napa cabbage salad ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅit’s a big bowl of fresh, crunchy, gingery, deliciousness! aaaand, it’s so easy to make that it really shouldn’t taste as good as it does. but that’s the magic behind a good recipe: easy, tasty, and even good for you! have a great saturday! ingredients: 1 medium napa cabbage 1 bunch of green onions 1 cup of slivered almonds 1 – 3 ounce package of ramen noodles ¼ cup of raisins dressing- ¼ cup rice vinegar ½ cup olive oil ¼ teaspoon grated ginger 2 tablespoons of soy sauce 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper *cut the bottom off of the cabbage and wash the leaves individually. dry them and slice into thin slivers. cut in half if the leaves are wide. wash the entire onion and cut the ends off. then slice into thin rounds. spread almonds out on a large baking sheet with a rim and toast them in the oven. watch them carefully, shaking the pan every 45 seconds to 1 minute to ensure that they brown evenly. when they are a light brown remove from the oven. crush the ramen noodle into small pieces on a large baking sheet and toast in the oven until they just begin to brown. dressing- add all ingredients and whisk well in a bowl. add all of the ingredients to a large bowl. add the dressing and toss well!* #eatclean #whatsonyourplate #vegan #veganrecipes #veganshare #wholesome #thefeedfeed #healthyfoodie #foods4thought #foodporn #vscofood #delicious #foodie #foodgasm #tasty #nomnom #eatingfortheinsta #eaterny #eatclean #healthyfood #foodcoma #foodpornshare #nycphotographer #feedyoursoul #spoonfeed #todayfood #nycblogger #nycfood #nyceats #trending #instagram
