Do you know that using the technology called "flash-frozen", a rapid process that quickly lowers the temperature of fresh-picked produce, maintains fruits and veggies at their peak ripeness? 🥑🍍🍌🍓🥦 the good news is that freezing doesn't significantly reduce the nutritional content of fresh fruits and veggies and may even help preserve some water-soluble vitamins such as vitamin c and multi-vitamin b complex.
a study published in international journal of food properties in 2015 showed that frozen fruit has little impact on its antioxidant content also.
thus, frozen fruits & veggies are just as good as fresh options in your breakfast smoothie.

My posts have been a little inconsistent, and that’s mainly because my meals haven’t been all that interesting lately. it’s such a busy time of year, most nights my dinner consists of a smoothie jammed with all the veges i planned to eat that night. it’s just so much easier! i won’t lie and say i’ve been 100% loyal to my “plant based” life style, because last week was my birthday week and so (hello rack of ribs) 😂 and then in the weekend we celebrated the brother in-laws big 30th (hello hangi) haha. but i will say, 99.9% of the past few weeks i have been on my best behaviour, in terms of eating “plant based”, and as someone who has spent their entire life eating copious amounts of meat every day, i am very proud of myself, and my body is certainly proud and thanking me too!
