Great few days of training down the shore. i started yesterday with a nice fast bike ride to atlantic city and followed it up with a half mile ocean swim. today i did a full mile in the ocean. this @newwaveswimbuoy gave me some peace of mind that i was visible to the boats as well as the lifeguards as i went down the beach. it was my furthest ocean swim to date and did wonders for my confidence heading toward maine next weekend. 10 days to maine 70.3.

I used to have a victim mentality. i always thought to myself, “why me?” and “how come nothing in my life can ever go right?”
starting on a journey to fitness, being disciplined, and slowly beginning to win more day after day, changed my thought process. it made me start to ask myself new questions, like “what are the real limits to what a human being can become?” and “do i have any?”

My first attempt at keto nachos!

cheddar and parmesan cheese baked thin and cut into squares. i added a pre-cooked mixture of veggie ground round, black soybeans, black olives, jalapeno, cheese and spices. topped off with shredded lettuce, sour cream, and avocado. very yummy!

Midday workouts have been working for me... kind of! i'm able to concentrate in the morning and definetly need a break by the time i get to the gym around 12/1. i find it hard to focus in the afternoon though. i make lunch, get my diet coke and just find my mind racing at how overwhelmed i feel. next week i might look for a place to study in the afternoons, because i think my morning routine is working. i'm at the gym trying to get my 10k steps in now. adding in daily workouts has definetly helped with my anxiety lately. #56poundsin56weeks #sweatingforthewedding

So..ive been totally 100 strict keto diet for 2 weeks...even did a 3 day water fast..i will also be #intermittentfasting which i will share as well.. im doing this not only to.lose weight but to have over all excellent health! in this short 2 weeks ive lost good amount of weight but my blood sugar (never had issue) has been so good..and blood pressure as well..so.im sharing this journey with anyone whos interested in following..ill be posting whatni eat..(yes elvis has no choice but to be keto with me😁) ill update weight. lose..what my blood sugar levels are and blood ketone reading..and again awesome recipes!

So proud of myself for making better choices! i had leftover taco meat(93% lean ground beef) and black beans from last night's dinner, as well as some taco boats. i decided instead of using the taco boats, to serve the taco meat in a bell pepper to save points. this meal clocks in at just 8 smart points, so i still have plenty of points for snacks and dinner laterπŸ€—
