Those who know me might remember my days of raiding my ma’s wardrobe and sporting vintage finds before it was #trending and well before social media was even a thing...yeah i’m that old... well i’m a mum now and on a recent opshop trip with my 2 year old #thriftingwithatoddlerisactuallyabreeze i was reminded of that spring in my step, that smile on my dial and that feeling of energetic butterflies in my tummy as i waltz out of an opshop proud to have saved a little something something from landfill...
and now i see that in bodhi, this kid inherently has a keen eye and can find anything he wishes for in a crowded yard sale... #awavingcatlikeatnailsalonyesweneededthat
bodhi + baxter started at a weird time in my life when i needed a distraction from reality but something about it just didn’t feel right and i took a break (or 2) until i worked out a better direction for the brand, where i could still source cool threads for kids and their snack b*****s (aka parents), but without buying into the #fastfashion trend.
i minimalised the house, our wardrobes and our lives and started to shop ethically, only buying things that better someone else’s life and ultimately the planet because #thereisnoplanetb and i want my kids to grow up in a world that cares about its creatures big and small.
so follow us on this spontaneous ride.
i’ll be shutting down www.bodhibaxter.com at the end of july and until then all sale items are reduced to $5 + postage (because onve you know better you do better) starting in august #wooden#montessori#toys#handmade to order by bodhi’s dad will be sold exclusively through our instagram page alongside our vintage finds
super excited to share these treasures with you and help them find their next home.
