Using the wall can be helpful. this is one of my favorite ways to open up the front of the thigh (quads) in front splits. i also work on my back by pushing the wall away from me with my hands and open up through the chest.
one of the things i struggled with the most (still working on them) in front splits: my hip flexors.
hip flexors are a group of muscles around the top of your thighs (large surface) and we tend to be tight in this area especially for people who sit for long hours at work etc.. flexible hip flexors help us square off the hips in splits.
so if u r still working with ur splits, don’t ignore ur hip flexors. instead of thinking « i wanna touch the floor 😩 », think about ur form and which muscles u r working on. .
think about ur hip flexors. u’ll get there eventually. splits happen :)
have a great weekend, love u!
