Day four for me this week. with the program i have been doing, my workouts are done for this week. i love the freedom of this schedule where i workout monday, tuesday, thursday, and friday so i have my weekends free to play around with my kids.
i love that the work out days target different body groups yet still incorporates spurts of cardio and core components. it is a complete workout in around 30 minutes. i like fast and to the point, 'cause i am a petty busy gal chasing around four nonstop action kiddos. ❤️ you guessed it today was leg day. 😊
Hi friend! i’m crystal, and i’m a firm believer that you should never trade your authenticity for approval...and use the oxford comma, #itsathing. ✨⠀
most days, you can find me mainlining coffee, probably @bearcoastcoffee, with my hubby, @calebbonham, from our tiny 1bd apartment by the beach in san clemente. i’m lucky enough to get to work with amazing clients from all over the country, helping them identify and implement their brand strategy. basically, i help my clients figure out their brand strategy so that they can focus on changing the world. ⠀
my dream job? maybe. there are definitely 1 million perks, but it’s not always what i “wanted”(read: was told i should do as a woman who studied political science and economics at @ucsandiego ). moral of the story? be authentic, be you, in a world that thinks authenticity is uniform. you do you, boo. ⠀
I’ve been made to feel that it’s not okay to share my body and my progress on social media. i’ve had people talk behind my back because i didn’t fit into their ideals or into their close minded views. i’ve worked too d**n hard to love myself and the package i come in to let anyone stop me. if my body bothers you, don’t look. don’t follow my journey. there are too many mean and catty people in this world, i don’t need any in my life ✌️i hope you’re not letting anyone stop you from living your life. i hope you take as many selfies as you want. do the work to love yourself and don’t let what anyone says stop you from doing you. i hope you find the courage to walk away from people who are no longer serving you. you’re worth it.
I recently received this message by a young woman who saw me speak at the changenow summit: "i have infrequent examples of powerful women in business whom i come into contact with. i was inspired by your poise and charisma, and also your obvious strategic thinking and intellect. thank you for being a strong example of women in business."
i had to re-read this because when i read it i thought "surely, she's not writing abot me!" (hello imposter syndrome! nice hearing from you again!) sometimes i wonder if it's worth it to be a "public figure." speaking at events and frequent social media updates can be pretty uncomfortable and it takes a lot of effort. it would be much easier to just keep my head low, stay home and snuggle with @sandypawspup after work! but its feedback like this that validates why i do what i do. i want to live a life of service even if that means that it's a challenge to navigate the balance beween my public and private life. i don't think i'm the only one who struggles with this. how do you decide when to stand up and be seen and heard versus when to hang back and rest?
So happy it's friday! another week of work with baby girl at home. today i'm at the office and i miss her like crazy, but i think it's healthy for the both of us to have this day apart. 🌻
after getting pregnant i have noticed so much how mothers criticize other mothers. #momshaming. currently, i have heard so much about "going back to work" vs "staying at home" and which one is better for the child. the answer to that, is what is best for your family, that's what's best for the child!
also, why is there never a debate about what dad should do? why are mothers always getting criticized for their choices and fathers get praised for doing what they are supposed to do? 🤷♀️
#repost@themoneypeach - our friend peach with a great quote on a friday! 🍑

it takes 21 days to create a habit and much longer to experience the benefits of the habit.

“the will to believe is the most important ingredient in creating belief in change” - charles duhigg (the power of habit)

health and happiness thrive on habits. don’t be shy to ask for help... you hold the power!
“why is it some people move faster than others?
some will meet and get married in less than a year.
and others will spend their entire life searching for that perfect someone.
some will get pregnant first try.
and some will try for 10 years without success.
some people will create a business and have early success.
some will be in business for 10 years still waiting for success.
some people will get that promotion on the first try.
and others will try three times without success.
it took me seven years to ask andrea to marry me.
it took me a 3 years to have real success in my business while i watched others soar much quicker.
i waited 11 years to promote to captain on the fire department, while others did it in 7.
i have to constantly remind myself this:
don’t be afraid of moving too slow, be afraid only of standing still.
that’s my transparency for the day. what about you?”
