Working on a new reduction linocut in the studio and i need your help...moon or no moon? /////
it’s amazing to have a shop where i can practice printmaking while making letterpress prints for other people’s businesses. it’s a sort of survival which i dreamt of while starting the aesthetic union and after 6 years, finally has happened to the extent i dreamt it would have. /////
so what do you say? moon or no moon? this and many other new prints will be at my opening at @theperishtrust on december 6th!
Processes really drew me into printmaking. i really loved how there are constraints to making the press, the printing plate, or the ink do what you want to create your vision. it was a bit of order in my chaotic life. i guess it was a bit of a control thing too, but we aren’t all perfect and over those years i learned how to let the process actually lead the design and the art we produce out of the aesthetic union. //////
how do you see process? do you like it or not like it?

We’ve donated over $160 so far to the california community foundation’s wildfire relief fund through sales of @jameslewistucker print, “what you need is on the way”. 🖤
please support this cause to help the communities which have been devastated by the recent california wildfires. this money goes directly to the people who have lost everything. it helps them get back on their feet with temporary housing and mental well-being programs. 20% of each sale will go to this fund

Wildfires are destroying lives all over the state. we wake up smelling and feeling the effects but we cannot imagine not just losing our belongings, but homes, community, and even loved ones to the blazes. “what you need is on the way” is a letterpress linocut by @jameslewistucker where 10% of each print sale will go to the california community foundation’s wildfire relief fund to help displaced, physical and mental health, rebuilding homes, and financial assistance due to california wildfires.
please consider purchasing this print or making a donation directly to the wildfire relief fund.
I thought living during the end times was going to much more...something. maybe a little more mad max-ish? idk. thinking about the whole thing can be overwhelming, so we just plan to rearrange back stock of paper today. i guess that’s all we can manage after this roller coaster of a f**k t**d of politics, california burning, men with guns, and oh yeah, sea level rising. kewl. .
change starts with you. move forward daily.
Foil stamped prayer candle labels for @themightyluchador ////
yo listen, running a small business is stressful but i also feel like i have a family again. they have my back and i have theirs...it’s just a pay them to stick around...so maybe it’s better than family? 🧐
if you’re around this on the 16-18 check out @themightyluchador at @designercon he’s got some nicely designed prayer candles, vinyl figures, and comics. also he’s a good dude
specs on these for you nerds: digitally printed on an hp indigo down the street on a coated label stock, then we brought them over here and got foil stamped the gold on them and die cut them out.

and is you want us to make s**t for you, that’s great. hit us up
Super stoked on these letterpress posters for quip designed by @lejochum /////
